چکیده

A 3D shape reconstruction algorithm for multiple PEC objects immersed in air is presented. The Hamilton-Jacobi PDE is solved in the entire computational domain with employing the marching cubes method to retrieve the unknown objects. The method of moment surface integral equation is used as the forward solver. An appropriate form of the deformation velocity, based on the forward and adjoint fields, is implemented to minimize the mismatch between the measurements and simulated scattered fields from the evolving objects. The inversion algorithm demonstrated good shape reconstruction results even when using limited view data or noisy corrupted data with SNR of 5 dB.

Three-Dimensional Electromagnetic Scattering Analysis Using Constrained Interpolation Profile Method

A characteristic-based constrained interpolation profile (CIP) method for solving three-dimensional, time-dependent Maxwell’s equations is successfully developed. It is utilized to solve one-dimensional wave equations in the formulation of the Maxwell’s equations. Calculation procedure of the CIP method for three-dimensional scattering analysis is described in details. Update equations for boun...

Numerical Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering Using Constrained Interpolation Profile Method

The field of computational electromagnetics (CEM) was significantly broadened by the pioneer work of Yee, when the time-dependent Maxwell’s equations are solved numerically in an isotropic medium [1]. This algorithm is called finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) Method, and it has second-order accuracy in temporal and spatial domain [2]. Since FDTD method is relatively simple to implement, effi...

Inverse scattering problem for the Impulsive Schrodinger equation with a polynomial spectral dependence in the potential

In the present work, under some di¤erentiability conditions on the potential functions , we …rst reduce the inverse scattering problem (ISP) for the polynomial pencil of the Scroedinger equation to the corresponding ISP for the generalized matrix Scrödinger equation . Then ISP will be solved in analogy of the Marchenko method. We aim to establish an e¤ective algorithm for uniquely reconstructin...

Fast Simulation of Electromagnetic Scattering from Large Complex Pec Objects Using the Adaptive Integral Method

|In this paper, the authors use the adaptive integral method (AIM) to simulate the electromagnetic scattering from large complex PEC objects. The rst problem that we have investigated is the scattering from a dihedral corner re®ector that may lead to a better understanding of scattering mechanisms and properties of more complex geometries. The second problem investigated is scattering from a ...

A New Guideline for the Allocation of Multipoles in the Multiple Multipole Method for Two Dimensional Scattering from Dielectrics

A new guideline for proper allocation of multipoles in the multiple multipole method (MMP) is proposed. In an ‘a posteriori’ approach, subspace fitting (SSF) is used to find the best location of multipole expansions for the two dimensional dielectric scattering problem. It is shown that the best location of multipole expansions (regarding their global approximating power) coincides with the med...
